Biography
Mandy Walker is an Australian cinematographer. She apprenticed as a camera assistant on documentaries and features before shooting her first feature, Return Home (1990).
Walker is known for her work on Hidden Figures (2016), Mulan (2020) and Elvis (2022), the last of which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography. She has collaborated repeatedly with director Baz Luhrmann, including on Australia (2008).
In 2021 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia. In 2025 she became the first woman elected president of the American Society of Cinematographers.
