Biography
Manolo Solo (born Manuel Jesús Fernández Serrano, 11 January 1964 – 30 July 2026) was a Spanish actor. He began his career as a musician in the Sevillian rock scene before turning to acting, debuting on stage in 1989 and in feature films with Everything in Place (2002). He trained at the Instituto de Teatro in Seville after earning a licentiate degree in Education Sciences from the University of Seville.
Solo appeared in numerous Spanish films and television series, including as Garcés in Pan's Labyrinth (2006), the Prison Director in Cell 211 (2009), a journalist in Marshland (2014), and Miralles in The Good Boss (2021). He received the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Fury of a Patient Man (2016) and was nominated for the award on other occasions. He also worked as a voice actor in dubbing, including on Dragon Ball.
