Biography
Manuela Stehr is a German film producer. Born on 10 March 1957 in Berlin, she studied law with a focus on media law and passed her second state examination in 1983. She began working as a producer and founded Fuzzy Filmproduktion in Berlin in 1985.
From 1992 she held senior roles at the Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen, including head of production funding. In 2000 she became managing director at X-Filme Creative Pool and a board member of the newly founded X Verleih AG. She has produced or co-produced films including Heaven (2002), Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), Love in Thoughts (2004), Go for Zucker (2004), The Red Cockatoo (2006) and Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007). She served as president of the Spitzenorganisation der Filmwirtschaft from 2012 to 2015 and is married to producer Stefan Arndt.
