Biography
Marcelo Pont Vergés is an Argentine production designer and art director. Born on 17 February 1957 in Córdoba, he has worked across feature films, television, theatre, opera and commercials.
He is known for his production design on Life of Pi (2012) and Homo Argentum (2025), and art direction on The Secret in Their Eyes (2009). Other credits include production design on The Zero Hour (2010), My Straight Son (2012) and Rock, Paper, Scissors (2012), as well as the series The Boss (2022–) and Nada (2023).
Pont Vergés has received the Argentine Academy Sur Award for art direction and has worked as a set designer in opera, theatre and musicals in Argentina, Venezuela and the United States. He co-created the Festival Internacional de Cine de las Alturas.
