Biography
Marcia Warren is an English stage, film and television actress. She was born on 26 November 1943 in Watford, Hertfordshire. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, graduating in 1963, and began her career in repertory theatre.
On stage she won Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Stepping Out in 1984 and Humble Boy in 2002. Her television credits include Vera in the sitcom No Place Like Home (1983–1986), Penelope in Vicious (2013–2016), Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother in seasons 5 and 6 of The Crown (2022–2023), and Val in the series Alice and Steve (2026). Film roles include Adele in Leap Year (2010) and Lubliana in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (2016).
