Biography
Marcus Carl Franklin is an American actor. Born on 24 February 1993 in Carmel, New York, he began acting as a child in commercials before appearing in the off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Caroline or Change.
He is best known for portraying an incarnation of Bob Dylan who calls himself "Woody Guthrie" in the 2007 film I'm Not There, directed by Todd Haynes. For the role he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male. Franklin also appeared as Ruben Santiago Jr. in the 2005 HBO film Lackawanna Blues and as James in the 2008 comedy Be Kind Rewind.
His other credits include the television series Law & Order (2004), Blue Bloods (2011) and Golden Boy (2013), and the films The Art of Getting By (2011) and But Not for Me (2015).
