Biography
Maree Cheatham is an American actress. She was born on 2 June 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Bellaire High School in Texas in 1958 and began her career in theatre before moving into television.
Cheatham originated the role of Marie Horton on the soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965–1968, with later returns), Stephanie Wilkins on Search for Tomorrow (1974–1984), and Aunt Charlene Simpson on General Hospital (from 1987). She has appeared in numerous guest roles on series including The Nanny, Monk, Desperate Housewives, Young Sheldon and Dexter. Her film credits include Beetlejuice (1988) as Sarah Dean, The Wedding Singer (1998), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and Rumor Has It... (2005).
She has been married to singer and songwriter Robert Staron since 1998. She was previously married to Bill Arvin from 1964 until their divorce in 1974.
