Biography
Margaret Colin is an American actress. She was born on 26 May 1958 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on Long Island. She attended Hofstra University.
Colin began her career in daytime soap operas, originating the role of Margo Montgomery on As the World Turns (1980–1983). She is known for her performance as Constance Spano in the film Independence Day (1996) and for her recurring role as Eleanor Waldorf in the series Gossip Girl (2007–2012).
Her other film credits include Pretty in Pink (1986) and Three Men and a Baby (1987). She has also worked extensively in theatre.
