Biography
Margaret Nagle is an American screenwriter, television producer and former actress. She began her career with acting roles in series including Family Ties (1982), L.A. Law (1986), My So-Called Life (1994) and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), and films such as Milk Money (1994) and Forget Paris (1995).
Nagle transitioned to writing and producing. Her script for the HBO television film Warm Springs (2005) earned five Emmy Awards, including for Outstanding Television Movie. She wrote two episodes of the first season of Boardwalk Empire (2010) and served as supervising producer; the season won a Golden Globe. Her other credits include the screenplay for The Good Lie (2014) and creating the series Red Band Society (2014).
Nagle has received three Emmy nominations and three Writers Guild of America Awards, including for her work on Boardwalk Empire and Warm Springs.
