Biography
Marian Carr (born Marion Dorice Dunn) was an American actress who appeared in films and television from the mid-1940s to the 1960s. She was born on 6 July 1926 in Providence, Kentucky, and died on 30 July 2003 in Palm Desert, California.
After working as a model in Chicago, where she was named 'Chicago's Prettiest Office Worker' in 1946, Carr moved to Los Angeles and began acting in local theatre. She signed a contract with RKO Pictures and made her feature debut in San Quentin (1946). She had an uncredited role in It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and appeared in Westerns such as The Devil Thumbs a Ride (1947) and Northern Patrol (1953).
Carr played the character Friday in the film noir Kiss Me Deadly (1955). Other credits include World for Ransom (1954), Indestructible Man (1956), The Harder They Fall (1956) and Nightmare (1956), as well as television appearances.
