Biography
Marian McLoughlin is a British actress born on 9 December 1952 in Croydon, London. She has appeared in numerous television series and films since the late 1970s.
She is known for her role as Marina Bonnaire in the BBC soap opera Doctors (2008–2012), Brenda Jacks in Home Time (2009), and Julia in Fast Freddie, the Widow and Me (2011). Other credits include appearances in Party Animals (2007) as Barbara Foster, Trying (2020–) as Jilly Newman, Hollyoaks (2021) as Sue Morgan, and EastEnders (2026–) as Rose Hawkins, as well as roles in Midsomer Murders, Vera, Lewis and Spice World (1997).
McLoughlin has two children and has worked extensively in British television, including series regulars in French Fields, Born to Run, Thin Ice and Castles.
