Biography
Marianne Faithfull (1946–2025) was an English singer and actress. She began her career in 1964 after being discovered at a party by the Rolling Stones' manager Andrew Loog Oldham and achieved early success with the single "As Tears Go By".
Faithfull appeared in films including The Girl on a Motorcycle (1968) and Hamlet (1969). Later roles included Maria Teresa in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette (2006), a segment in Paris, je t'aime (2006), and Maggie in Irina Palm (2007), for which she received a nomination for Best Actress at the European Film Awards. She also provided voice work as a Bene Gesserit ancestor in Dune (2021).
