Biography
Marie Gruber (11 June 1955 – 8 February 2018) was a German actress. Born in Wuppertal, she studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1979 to 1982 and appeared in more than 140 film and television productions from 1980 onwards.
She first gained wider recognition for her role as Rita Struutz in the comedy Go Trabi Go (1991). Gruber was known for recurring parts in television series including Polizeiruf 110 and Stubbe – Von Fall zu Fall, as well as supporting roles in films such as The Lives of Others (2006), The Reader (2008), Frantz (2016) and the series Babylon Berlin (2017).
