Biography
Marina Berti was an English-born Italian film actress. Born Elena Maureen Bertolino in London on 29 September 1924 to an Italian father and English mother, she made her screen debut in the 1941 film La Fuggitiva. She appeared in nearly 100 films and television productions, often in supporting roles, working in both Italian and American productions.
Her notable credits include the role of Eunice in Quo Vadis (1951), Flavia in Ben-Hur (1959), Elizabeth in the television miniseries Jesus of Nazareth (1977), and La Principessa in Amen. (2002). She was married to the Italian actor and director Claudio Gora from 1944 until his death in 1998 and was the mother of actors Andrea Giordana and Marina Giordana. Berti died in Rome on 29 October 2002.
