Biography
Mark Fergus is an American screenwriter and director who frequently collaborates with writing partner Hawk Ostby. They received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for Children of Men (2006). Their other film screenplays include Iron Man (2008), Cowboys & Aliens (2011) and The Last Vermeer (2019).
Fergus studied film at Boston University. He made his directorial debut with the 2006 thriller First Snow, which he also wrote with Ostby. The pair created and served as executive producers on the science-fiction television series The Expanse (2015–2022).
