Biography
Mark Gessner is an American actor and writer. He was born in Sheffield, Vermont, in 1980 and grew up in the state's Northeast Kingdom. He performed as a child at Vermont Children's Theater and later studied acting at Marymount Manhattan College and improv at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade.
Gessner has appeared in films including Youth (2015) as the shy screenwriter, It Had to Be You (2016) as Mark, and Drunk Parents (2019). On television, his credits include Person of Interest (2015), Benders (2015), Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2016), NCIS: New Orleans (2017–2019) as Oliver Crane, and NCIS: Hawaiʻi (2023) as Agent Neil Pike. He has also featured in episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Blacklist, Orange Is the New Black, Billions, and Veep.
