Biography
Mark Hudis is an American television writer and producer. He was born on 19 February 1968 in Tarrytown, New York. He began his career in 1997 with a story credit on the CBS sitcom Cybill and subsequently joined the writing staff of That '70s Show (1998–2006), where he wrote 22 episodes and rose to executive producer.
Hudis worked as a writer and co-executive producer on Nurse Jackie (2009–2010). In 2011 he joined the writing staff of HBO's True Blood (2008–2014) as co-executive producer and writer of five episodes; he was named showrunner for its sixth season in 2012 before stepping down early in production.
His later credits include writing and producing work on Elementary (2012), Hand of God (2015), Tell Me a Story (2018–2020) and First Kill (2022). The writing staff of Nurse Jackie received Writers Guild of America and Primetime Emmy nominations.
