Biography

Mark Waschke is a German actor known for his work in theatre, film and television. He was born on 10 March 1972 in Wattenscheid, a district of Bochum, and trained at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1995 to 1999.

He has appeared regularly in the long-running crime series Tatort since 2009, taking a permanent role as detective Robert Karow from 2015. Other notable screen credits include Dorn in Generation War (2013), Jörg in Barbara (2012), Spitz in A Hidden Life (2019) and Carsten Schlüter in The Billion Dollar Code (2021). He gained international recognition for playing Noah in the Netflix series Dark (2017–2020).

Waschke has also maintained an active stage career, including periods as an ensemble member at the Schaubühne Berlin.
