Biography
Mary Nash (born Mary Honora Ryan) was an American actress. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and began her career on the stage, appearing in numerous Broadway productions from the early 1900s. She was also active in vaudeville and London theatre.
Nash moved into films in the mid-1930s and appeared in around 18 pictures until 1946. She is credited as Margaret Lord in The Philadelphia Story (1940). Other film roles include Amanda Minchin in The Little Princess (1939), Fraulein Rottenmeier in Heidi (1937), Mrs Jenny Ball in Easy Living (1937) and Emma Louise Glasgow in Come and Get It (1936).
Her sister was the actress and author Florence Nash. She was married to the actor José Ruben from 1918 until their divorce.
