Biography
Matt Meech is a British editor and director. He was born on 17 March 1976 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
He began his career as a runner at a post-production house in Soho before becoming an assistant editor. He later moved to Bristol, where he worked on a feature for Aardman Animations and entered natural history programming, starting with The Really Wild Show.
Meech is known for his editing on BBC and Netflix natural history series, including one episode of Planet Earth II (2016), two episodes of Blue Planet II (2017), two episodes of Our Planet (2019), and one episode of Frozen Planet II (2022). He also served as co-director and editor on Surviving Paradise: A Family Tale (2022). His work has earned a Primetime Emmy nomination and multiple BAFTA nominations.
