Biography
Matthew Boulton (also credited as Mathew Boulton) was a British stage and film actor. Born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, he established himself in the theatre before taking supporting roles in films.
He appeared as Superintendent Talbot in Alfred Hitchcock's Sabotage (1936) and as a fake police officer (uncredited) in The 39 Steps (1935). Other British credits include Night Must Fall (1937). He later emigrated to Hollywood, where he worked until the early 1950s, often playing police or military officers. His American films include The Woman in Green (1945) and The Woman in White (1948).
Boulton was married to Ruth Dockray. He died in Los Angeles in 1962.
