Biography
Matthew Hamachek is a documentary film editor, producer and writer who has also directed television series. He began his career working with director Marshall Curry on Street Fight (2005) and went on to collaborate with him again on Racing Dreams (2009) and If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front (2011).
Hamachek edited Cartel Land (2015), Amanda Knox (2016), City of Ghosts (2017) and Console Wars (2020). He also served as writer or co-writer on several of these projects and has produced or co-produced multiple documentaries. In 2021 he directed the series Tiger and in 2024 he directed The Dynasty: New England Patriots.
