Biography
Matthew Herbert is a British composer and electronic musician. Born in 1972 in England, he has scored numerous films and television series, including The Responder (2022).
His film work includes A Fantastic Woman (2017), Disobedience (2018), Gloria Bell (2019), The Wonder (2022) and Starve Acre (2024). He has collaborated repeatedly with director Sebastián Lelio and also composed for series such as Temple (2019–2021) and Noughts + Crosses (2020).
Herbert is known for his experimental approach, often incorporating sounds from everyday objects into his music, and has released numerous albums under his own name and aliases including Herbert, Doctor Rockit and Radio Boy.
