Biography
Matthew Marsh (born 8 July 1954) is an English actor. He is the older brother of Jon Marsh of the dance band The Beloved.
He has appeared in films including Spy Game (2001), The Iron Lady (2011) as Alexander Haig, Dunkirk (2017), The Mauritanian (2021) and Tetris (2023) as Mikhail Gorbachev. On television he played Simon Hewitt in the first series of The Thick of It (2005), President Eisenhower in The Crown (2016), General Kuznetsov in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2018) and roles in Luther (2010) and Taboo (2017).
