Biography

Matthew Willig is an American actor and former professional American football offensive tackle. Born on 21 January 1969 in La Mirada, California, he played college football at the University of Southern California before an undrafted NFL career spanning 1993 to 2005 with the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, St Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers. He appeared in 153 regular-season games and won Super Bowl XXXIV with the Rams.

Willig began acting after retiring from football. His credits include the role of One-Eye in We're the Millers (2013), Happy in Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (2020), Justin Strzelczyk in Concussion (2015), and Hogsbreth in The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026). He has also appeared in series such as Dexter, Malcolm in the Middle, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Grimm, NCIS and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and portrayed André the Giant in Young Rock.
