Biography
Maurissa Horwitz is a film editor. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from North Central High School. She earned a BA from Dartmouth College, majoring in Film Studies with a minor in Chemistry.
Horwitz began her career as an apprentice and assistant editor on live-action films before specialising in animation. Her credits include first assistant editor on Over the Hedge (2006), assistant editor on How to Train Your Dragon (2010), editor on Open Season: Scared Silly (2015) and Playmobil: The Movie (2019), additional editor on The Bad Guys (2022), and lead editor on Inside Out 2 (2024).
