Biography

Maurizio Lodi-Fè was an Italian film producer and production manager. Born on 1 June 1918 in Thessaloniki, Greece, he died on 26 May 2015 in Rome.

He began working in the Italian film industry in the late 1940s as a location consultant and later served as production manager or unit manager on several international productions, including Roman Holiday (1953), Helen of Troy (1956) and Ben-Hur (1959). From 1961 he worked as a producer, initially with Mars Film and later Verona Produzioni Cinematografiche, on films directed by Valerio Zurlini, Bernardo Bertolucci, Alberto Lattuada and Franco Brusati.

His producing credits include Girl with a Suitcase (1961), Sodom and Gomorrah (1962), After the Fox (1966), The Conformist (1970), Kill the Fatted Calf and Roast It (1970) and Bread and Chocolate (1974).
