Biography

Maurizio Millenotti is an Italian costume designer. Born on 12 June 1946 in Reggiolo, he began working in the 1970s and has credits on more than sixty film and television productions.

He received Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design for Otello (1986) and Hamlet (1990), both directed by Franco Zeffirelli. He won David di Donatello awards for The Legend of 1900 (1998) and The Best Offer (2013). Other notable credits include Malena (2000), The Passion of the Christ (2004) and Risen (2016).

In 2024 he co-designed the costumes for the Netflix series RIPLEY with Gianni Casalnuovo. He has also worked in opera and theatre, including productions at the Arena di Verona.
