Biography
Meneka Das is an Indian-born actress, director and writer. She moved to London to pursue work in theatre and film, and trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute and using the Ivana Chubbuck technique.
As an actress she is known for playing Jer Bulsara in the 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody, Sunita in the 2005 television film The Girl in the Café, and a role in Mike Leigh’s Another Year (2010). Stage credits include Amina in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children. As a director her credits include the 2006 feature Little Box of Sweets, the 2016 short La Lune Folle, and seven episodes of the 2021 series The Dumping Ground.
