Biography
Mía Maestro is an Argentine actress and singer. Born in Buenos Aires on 19 June 1978, she trained in Argentina before travelling to Berlin to study classical singing and Brechtian acting techniques. She returned to Buenos Aires and made her screen debut in Carlos Saura’s Tango (1998).
She is known for her role as Cristina Kahlo in Frida (2002) and as Chichina Ferreyra in The Motorcycle Diaries (2004). On television she played Nadia Santos in Alias and Nora Martinez in The Strain (2014–2015). Other credits include the Twilight Saga films as Carmen Denali.
