Biography
Michael Kane is a New Zealand production designer and costume designer, also credited as Mike Kane. He began working in film in the early 1980s, initially in wardrobe and costume roles on New Zealand productions.
His credits include costume design on The Quiet Earth (1985), Utu (1983) and Heart of the Stag (1984). He later moved into production design, with credits on Meet the Feebles (1989), Desperate Remedies (1992), Once Were Warriors (1994) and The Last Drop (2006). He shared wardrobe design duties on Once Were Warriors with Pauline Pohatu.
