Biography
Michael Kozoll is an American screenwriter and producer. He wrote for several 1970s television series, including Kojak, Quincy, M.E., McCloud, Delvecchio and Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
Kozoll co-created the police procedural series Hill Street Blues with Steven Bochco and served as writer, producer and co-showrunner for its first two seasons (1981–82). He received multiple Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on the series, including for Outstanding Drama Series in 1981 and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
After leaving Hill Street Blues in 1982, his subsequent credits include a co-screenplay on the film First Blood (1982) and a co-story credit on The Hard Way (1991).
