Biography
Michael M. Ryan (19 March 1929 – 1 March 2017) was an American actor. Born in Wichita, Kansas, he trained at Saint Benedict's College in Atchison, Kansas, before pursuing a career in acting.
He was best known for playing John Randolph on the daytime serial Another World from 1964 until the character's death in 1979. His film credits include Body Heat (1981) as Miles Hardin, Tootsie (1982) and Slayground (1983). He also appeared in Dynasty (1981) and Hunter (1984) as Eric Van Aanholt.
A New York-based stage actor, Ryan had off-Broadway and Broadway roles, including in the 1976 play Best Friend. He played the lead in the early 1960s serial Ben Jerrod.
