Biography
Michael Perry is an American production designer, also credited as Michael T. Perry. He holds a BFA in Theatre Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Sets, Lighting and Costume Design from the University of Southern California.
He began his career in the art department as a scenic painter before advancing to art director on films including The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) and the miniseries The Stand. After a period designing commercials, he returned to feature films with Killer Elite (2011) and It Follows (2014).
Perry’s production design credits include Under the Silver Lake (2018), Promising Young Woman (2020), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) and The Exorcism (2024). He received an Emmy nomination for art direction on The Stand and won a Set Decorators Society of America Award for Promising Young Woman.
