Biography
Michael Rosenbaum is an American actor and director. Born on 11 July 1972 in Oceanside, New York, he was raised in Newburgh, Indiana, and graduated with a degree in theatre arts from Western Kentucky University before moving to New York City to pursue acting.
He is best known for portraying Lex Luthor on the series Smallville (2001–2011), appearing in 153 episodes, and for directing the season-six episode 'Freak'. Rosenbaum received a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series in 2002 for the role. He has also appeared in films including Urban Legend (1998) and voiced characters in animated series such as Justice League and Teen Titans.
Other credits include Martinex in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), and he hosts the podcast Inside of You.
