Biography
Michael Sheasby is an Australian actor. Born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, he immigrated to Sydney with his family in 2001. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2010.
Sheasby began his career on stage, appearing at the Sydney Opera House in productions including Henry V (2014) and Arcadia (2016). On screen, he is known for roles such as Tex Lewis in Hacksaw Ridge (2016), Aidan in The Nightingale (2018), and Walter Moody in the BBC miniseries The Luminaries (2020). He has also appeared in Sweet Tooth (2021), The Artful Dodger (2023) and NCIS: Sydney (2023).
Sheasby received a nomination for the AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Nightingale. He won the Casting Guild of Australia's Rising Star Award in 2018.
