Biography
Michelle Manning is an American producer, film director and television director. She began her career as production supervisor at Zoetrope Studios on Francis Ford Coppola's The Outsiders (1983) and Rumble Fish (1983). She later worked as an executive for Ned Tanen's Channel Productions, where she was associate producer on Sixteen Candles (1984) and co-producer on The Breakfast Club (1985).
Manning made her feature directorial debut with Blue City (1986). She has directed episodes of the series Miami Vice (1989) and Friday the 13th: The Series (1988). She served as Vice President of Production at Orion Pictures in the early 1990s and as President of Production at Paramount Pictures from 1997 to 2005. Since 2017 she has been an executive producer on the Disney Channel series Andi Mack and several related films.
