Biography
Mike Jones is an American screenwriter and director. Born in 1971 in San Antonio, Texas, he graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He began his career in entertainment journalism as managing editor of Filmmaker Magazine and executive editor of indieWIRE.
Jones wrote the screenplay for the independent film EvenHand (2002). He later joined Pixar Animation Studios, where he has co-written the screenplays for Soul (2020), Luca (2021) and Elio (2025). He also wrote and directed the limited series Dream Productions (2024). He has served on the senior creative team for multiple other Pixar features.
