Biography
Mike Mignola is an American comic book writer and artist. He began his career in the early 1980s, working as an inker and penciller for Marvel Comics on titles including Daredevil and The Incredible Hulk, before moving to DC Comics projects such as Cosmic Odyssey and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.
In 1994, Mignola created Hellboy for Dark Horse Comics. He has written and drawn the majority of the series and its spin-offs. The character has been adapted into several films, including Hellboy (2004), for which Mignola received a writer credit, and its sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). He has also contributed to animated adaptations and other media.
