Biography

Miljen 'Kreka' Kljaković is a Serbian production designer and art director. Born in Osijek in 1950, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at Belgrade University and began working in Yugoslav cinema with directors associated with the Prague School, including Emir Kusturica.

He received the César Award and European Film Award for production design on Delicatessen (1991). His other credits include Arizona Dream (1993), Underground (1995), for which he won a Yugoslavian Academy Award, Species II (1998), The Pillars of the Earth (2010) and Tau (2018). He is a member of the Art Directors Guild and has received an Emmy nomination for art direction on Rasputin (1996).
