Biography
Mimi Aguglia (21 December 1884 – 31 July 1970) was an Italian actress. Born Girolama Aguglia in Sicily, she began performing on stage as a child alongside her mother, the actress Giuseppina Aguglia, and later toured Italy and Europe as a theatrical performer.
From the 1930s she worked in the United States as a character actress in films, often in supporting roles. Her credits include The Outlaw (1943), Cry of the City (1948), The Man Who Cheated Himself (1950), The Rose Tattoo (1955) as Assunta, and The Brothers Rico (1957). She also appeared on Broadway and in Italian-language radio. Her daughter, Argentina Brunetti, was also an actress.
