Biography
Mimi Polk Gitlin is a film producer. She produced Thelma & Louise (1991), directed by Ridley Scott.
She partnered for thirteen years with directors Ridley and Tony Scott, overseeing financing and production at their companies and securing overall deals at Paramount, 20th Century Fox and Disney. She later served as an executive at Grosvenor Park Media and founded Gaia Entertainment. Her other credits include producing White Squall (1996), Monkey Trouble (1994) and Trapped (2002), and executive producing The Breadwinner (2017). Gitlin was born in Ohio and grew up in Minnesota; she graduated from Andover Academy and Middlebury College.
