Biography

Mirai Shida is a Japanese actress. Born on 10 May 1993 in Ayase, Kanagawa, she began her career as a child actress in 1999 and is represented by the agency Ken-On.

She first gained prominence for her role as Kazumi Kanda in the television series The Queen's Classroom (2005). Subsequent notable performances include Miki Ichinose in 14-year-old Mother (2006) and Hatsuko Nogami in Kabei: Our Mother (2008). She received the Newcomer Award at the 33rd Japan Academy Film Prizes for her role in Nobody to Watch Over Me (2009).

Shida has also worked extensively in voice acting, including the title role in Arrietty (2010) and Kayo Horikoshi in The Wind Rises (2013). She married in September 2018.
