Biography
Mirra Bank is an American director, producer and editor. She edited the Academy Award-winning documentary Harlan County U.S.A. (1976) directed by Barbara Kopple, and has directed feature-length works including the short Yudie (1974), Enormous Changes at the Last Minute (1983), which premiered at Sundance, Nobody's Girls: Five Women of the West (1995), Last Dance (2002) and The Only Real Game (2013).
Her films have screened at festivals worldwide including Sundance, Toronto and the New York Film Festival. Last Dance was short-listed for an Academy Award. Bank has received production support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, PBS, the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. She is a past president of New York Women in Film and Television, a MacDowell Fellow and a lifetime member of the Actors Studio.
