Biography
Mischa Anne Marsden Barton is a British-American actress. She was born on 24 January 1986 in Hammersmith, London, and began her career on stage in New York productions including Tony Kushner's Slavs! and James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at Lincoln Center.
She made her screen debut in the soap opera All My Children (1995) and appeared in the film Lawn Dogs (1997). Her early film roles include Notting Hill (1999) and The Sixth Sense (1999), in which she played Kyra Collins. Barton starred as Marissa Cooper in the television series The O.C. (2003–2006), for which she received two Teen Choice Awards.
Later credits include Lost and Delirious (2001), St Trinian's (2007) and Assassination of a High School President (2008). She became a naturalised United States citizen in 2006 while retaining British citizenship.
