Biography
Morten Suurballe is a Danish actor. Born on 8 March 1955 in Copenhagen, he graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1978 and has been a member of the Royal Danish Theatre since 1992.
He is best known for portraying Detective Chief Inspector Lennart Brix across the three series of the Danish crime drama The Killing (2007–2012). Other notable television roles include Sigvard in Vikings (2014) and Bjørn in The Bridge (2011). Film appearances include Riders of Justice (2020) and The Shadow in My Eye (2021).
In 2013 Suurballe was appointed Knight of the First Class of the Order of the Dannebrog.
