Biography
Moses Sumney is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Born on 19 May 1992 in San Bernardino, California, he first gained recognition for his self-recorded music, including the 2014 EP Mid-City Island and the albums Aromanticism (2017) and Græ (2020).
Sumney began acting with a role as Izaak in the 2023 HBO series The Idol. He made his feature film debut as Leon, a video store employee and friend to the lead character, in Ti West’s MaXXXine (2024). He is also credited in supporting or music capacities on films including Creed (2015) and Venom (2018), and has an upcoming role in The Vampire Lestat (2026).
