Biography
Mr. T, born Laurence Tureaud on 21 May 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, is an American actor and retired professional wrestler. He is also credited as T and Laurence Tureaud. He began his career as a bouncer and bodyguard before entering entertainment.
He is best known for his role as boxer Clubber Lang in the film Rocky III (1982) and as B. A. Baracus in the television series The A-Team (1983–1987). Other credits include appearances in The Blues Brothers (1980) and voice roles in animated films and series such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) and The Simpsons.
Mr. T is noted for his distinctive Mandinka warrior-inspired hairstyle, gold jewellery and tough-guy persona. His catchphrase "I pity the fool!" originated in Rocky III. In 2006 he starred in the reality series I Pity the Fool.
