Biography
Murphy Dunne is an American actor and musician. Born George Dunne on 22 June 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, he grew up in the city and began his career in comedy ensembles including the Conception Corporation in the early 1970s. He has also worked as a pianist and composer.
Dunne is best known for playing Murph, the keyboardist in the Blues Brothers band, in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers, a role he reprised in Blues Brothers 2000 (1998). Other film appearances include High Anxiety (1977) as a piano player and The Big Bus (1976). He has provided voice work for animated projects and appeared in television series such as Frasier, Mad About You and Pretty Little Liars.
