Biography

Nan Bernstein Freed is a producer and production manager whose credits span feature films and television series. She began in production roles in the early 1980s, working as a location manager and production coordinator before advancing to unit production manager on films including Conspiracy Theory (1997), In Dreams (1999) and The Family Man (2000).

She later served as producer on several television series, notably Friday Night Lights (2006–2011), for which she received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series. Other producing credits include Hack (2002–2003), Prime Suspect (2011–2012), The Leftovers (2014), Dirty John (2018–2020) and Physical (2021). She has also worked as a co-executive producer on later projects such as Waco: The Aftermath (2023).
